Columbus City Council President and Mayoral Candidate Andrew Ginther discusses plans for the city with Insulators Local 50 Business Manager Dan Poteet

Representatives from Insulators Local 50 were recently on hand at the Columbus/Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council Open House, held on February 10 at the Electrical Trade Center – JATC.

The Insulators were one of 18 different building trades represented at the Open House, which was  designed to be a casual, extended lunchtime gathering geared to help local trades explain the major differences and benefits of union construction trades compared to their non-union counterparts.

In addition to having representatives there to interact with city, county, and state officials, Local 50 also had an informational booth set up in an adjoining room.

Local 50 was proud to take part in this successful event and is making plans to have representatives at the next open house, which will be held in July at the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 189 Union Hall.
